Unmet Transit Needs

An additional role of SLOCOG, as the administrator of Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds for San Luis Obispo County, is to perform the annual Unmet Transit Needs study. The purpose of this study is to ensure that any unmet transit needs that are found reasonable to meet are met before TDA funds are expended for non-transit uses, such as streets and roads.

Help us improve transit in SLO County!

Every year, San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) collects requests for new, improved, and/or expanded transportation services in the county. Requests are then compiled and evaluated for future implementation.

This year, additional questions have been included to help update the Coordinated Human Services Public Transportation Plan for SLO County for the next five years. To view the 2022 plan, please click here.

Please submit your request by taking this survey, or attend the Public Hearing for Requests at 9 am, Wednesday, February 3, 2027 at the County Board of Supervisors Chambers: 1055 Monterey St., San Luis Obispo.

Thank you for your participation, your feedback is important!
