The San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) addresses issues of mutual concern among local agencies within the San Luis Obispo Region. The agency serves as a forum for transportation planning and area wide issues, preparing regional plans and programs. In February 2008, SLOCOG will make major funding investment decisions on key regional transportation improvement projects consistent with SLOCOG's Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), including blending of improvement types on the state highway, in public transit, as well as other measures that enhance the efficiency of the transportation system will be considered.
