 // Transportation Development Act Administration

To administer the allocation of monies from the Local Transportation Fund (LTF) and State Transit Assistance Fund (STAF) to member entities.

Monies from the LTF and STAF help finance transit services and transportation projects in San Luis Obispo County.  SLOCOG is the designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) responsible for administration of the Transportation Development Act (TDA) in San Luis Obispo County. The SLOCOG Governing Board determines the transit services needs and an annual findings of "Unmet Transit Needs" in the County.  SLOCOG's unmet transit needs process requires a Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) which meets at least quarterly.  All SSTAC meetings are advertised and serve as public hearings upon which the SSTAC bases its unmet transit needs findings and recommendations to the SLOCOG Governing Board.
