Bikes
SLOCOG supports and promoted bicycling as a viable transportation choice. SLOCOG staff attend Bicycle Advisory Committees in San Luis Obispo and SLO County. SLOCOG staff also review and advise jurisdictions on approval of BTA elligible Bicycle Plans. Currently only the City of SLO and SLO County have BTA elligible plans. The City of Arroyo Grande has a City Council approved plan that is not currently BTA elligible. The City of Pismo Beach is in the process of creating a Bicycle and Pedestrian plan. For more information on existing plans and BTA requirements, view the links below.
Bus
SLOCOG works with all transit providers to coordinate services. The Transit Operators Group is an Ad Hoc committee of transit operators, contractors, and SLOCOG staff. Coordinating projects include the Coordinated Human Services Public Transportation Plan, the Region Wide Fare Improvement Study, and the Long Range Transit Plan.
Rail
SLOCOG coordinates and prepares agendas for the Coast Rail Coordinating Council (CRCC). The purpose of the CRCC is to improve the frequency and speed of passenger trains on the coast route between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
